Portland model Luketan Somnasang has been crowned this year’s Miss Asian Oregon, and I was fortunate enough to be able to photograph her while in the Pacific NW.

Zander is a fellow with whom I’ve worked numerous times in my profession as a cinematographer and now consider a personal friend. While I’ve known him as a gaffer (lighting technician for the non-film types), he apparently moonlights in too many roles for me to keep track of; actor, musician, producer, director, etc… He also runs a small soundstage in Inglewood that just so happens to be around the corner from my apartment, so I decided to impose my camera lens onto him for a session.

Drove up to Oregon over the Thanksgiving weekend and had a great time visiting with family, including my little (a less accurate description now days) brother Christian. He was even nice enough to assist me on a photo shoot with a Portland model at a train yard, where I got a couple shots of him as well.
